Liona Hotta's Pay It Forward Kindness Project
Giving gifts is probably one of the most straightforward ways of showing kindness. A thoughtful, heartfelt gift to a friend or random stranger in need can really brighten someone’s day.
We all know that the world is a much better place when we actively practice kindness and it is scientifically proven that people who are kind and compassionate see clear benefits to their wellbeing and happiness.
Whether you’re on the giving or receiving end of a gift, that gift can evoke feelings of gratitude and make us feel happy!
Kind.Dots was created to encourage and inspire random acts of kindness amongst fellow artists, dot enthusiasts or art philanthropist, and also a way to express my own gratitude and appreciation to a community that has given me so much! This is my way of “Paying it Forward”.
Kind.Dots is about giving artists from all walks of life and social economic status the opportunity to learn and grow creatively through good deeds and kindness.
Our philosophy is that by giving, we not only help the immediate recipient of our gift – we inspire generosity in others and create a ripple effect of kindness!
Because random acts of kindness have such positive impacts for all parties involved, every donation gifted by the community to the Liona Hotta Pay it Forward Kindness Project: Kind Dots is matched in the form of a Scholarship to Dot Art Academy. This means that one simple gift will benefit two artists – and fill another two hearts with joy!
For me, “Paying it forward” is about gifting other artists the opportunity to learn and grow creatively even if they are vulnerable or struggling. If everyone pays it forward just a little, we can help fellow artists stay connected and motivated during their difficult times.
Therefore- for every course, tutorial or bundle purchased at the Kind.Dots project as a gift of kindness for a friend, family member or stranger – I will donate a scholarship for the same course or similar valued course to a worthy recipient.
